About

A family deal directory, running since 2010

KidsMealDeals exists to answer one question parents ask every week: where can we take the kids tonight without it costing a fortune?

Our story

KidsMealDeals started in 2010 as a one-person project: a list of restaurants where kids eat free or cheap, checked by hand, one phone call at a time. For over a decade it ran that way, with a single owner verifying every restaurant before it went live. Families used it to plan dinner; restaurants used it to fill slow weeknights.

In 2026 we rebuilt the site from the ground up. The directory now covers restaurants across all 50 states, families can vote on whether a deal is still good, and anyone can submit a deal they have spotted. The spirit is the same as it was in 2010: real deals, at real restaurants, checked by real people.

How deals get on the site, and how they stay accurate

Every listing comes from one of three places, and every one is checked by the community after it is live:

  • Submissions from families who spotted a deal. They go live immediately and earn the submitter points once our team confirms the details with the restaurant.
  • Restaurant owners who claim their location and post their own deals. Owner listings are marked as such and can be promoted for a flat monthly fee.
  • Votes from families after they visit. "Still valid" pushes a deal up; "Not anymore" flags it for review. Deals confirmed directly with the restaurant by our team carry a KMD verified badge.

Free for families, always

Searching, saving, voting, and submitting deals are free and will stay free. The site is supported by advertising and by two optional paid products: an ad-free premium membership for families who want it, and promoted listings for restaurant owners who want more visibility. Neither affects which deals you see or how they are ranked by the community.
