Frequently asked questions

Everything parents and restaurant owners ask us most. If your question is not here, contact us and we will add it.

What does "kids eat free" actually mean?

A restaurant offers a free kids meal, usually from its kids menu, with the purchase of an adult entrée on certain days or times. Some deals are discounted rather than free, which is why we also list "kids meal deals." Each listing shows the days, hours, age limit, and any purchase requirement.

How do I find deals near me?

Type a ZIP code, city, or address into the search bar, or tap "Use my location." You can filter by day of the week, distance, your child's age, and whether a deal is running right now.

How are deals verified?

Two ways. Families vote "Still valid" or "Not anymore" after they visit, and those votes affect ranking. Separately, our team confirms popular deals directly with the restaurant; those carry a "KMD verified" badge and a date.

What do votes do?

They keep the directory honest. A deal with recent "Still valid" votes rises in results; one with "Not anymore" votes gets flagged for review and can be taken down. You need a free account with a confirmed email to vote.

How do points and gift cards work?

You earn points for votes on deals that later get verified, for deals you submit that get approved, and for flags that turn out to be right. Points can be redeemed for Amazon, Target, or Walmart gift cards starting at 500 points for $5. Premium members earn double.

What is Premium?

An optional membership that removes all ads and doubles the points you earn, for $2.99 a month or $24.99 a year. Everything else on the site is free with or without it, and you can cancel from your profile at any time.

How do I add a deal?

Click "Add a deal," find the restaurant, and describe the deal in a sentence or two with the days and any conditions. It goes live immediately, and you earn points when our team verifies it.

A deal is wrong or has ended. What do I do?

Open the deal and tap "Not anymore" or "Flag as inaccurate," then tell us what you saw. Our team reviews flags and updates or removes the listing. Confirmed flags earn you points.

I own a restaurant. How do I get listed?

Listing is free: submit your deal like anyone else. If you want to manage the listing yourself, add a photo, and pin your deals to the top of local results, you can claim your restaurant and promote it for $29 a month with a 30-day free trial.

How accurate are the listings?

We work hard, but restaurants change promotions without telling anyone. Treat a listing as a strong lead, not a guarantee: call ahead for a special trip, and check the "last confirmed" date on the deal page. Then vote after you go so the next family knows.
